2014/07/03 CHEMILES Pilot Study Start-up in Hanoi, Vietnam

On June 29th, NAGAOKA successfully set up the CHEMILES Pilot Units at Tuong Mai Water Treatment Plant, Hanoi, Vietnam. This project is implemented under the Agreement concluded on 28th May, 2014 between NAGAOKA and Hanoi Water Works Company (HAWACO) on a Pilot Study of water treatment by CHEMILES.

The Pilot Study will be implemented for 6 months since July 1st in cooperation with HAWACO and Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (IESE).

Without using any chemicals, our CHEMILES will treat by biological method by contact oxidation and biological treatment removing iron, manganese, and ammonia nitrogen contained in groundwater at extremely high filtration speed (LV=400m/day). This technology enables to supply safe water to people in environmentally friendly method. In addition, as a remote monitoring system was installed in these Pilot Units, we can monitor operation condition of our system via internet.

HAWACO has been paying high attention to this Pilot Study, and they are very much interested in this system and expects good results of Pilot Study", said HAWACO's Chairman and other executive officers who attended the Pilots Units handling ceremony on June 30th.

High ammonia nitrogen is very common problem with Hanoi's groundwater, so application of our CHEMILES, a high efficiency and environmental-friendly technology, is highly promised. We look forward to the expansion of supply of our CHEMILES in Vietnam, as well as in neighboring countries.
